Accessibility Statement
Hotel Gramaser GmbH endeavours to ensure that this website is accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BaSG) and Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act) and Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
Current status of compliance with requirements
This website is largely compliant with Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. ‘Largely compliant’ means that individual pieces of content – in particular embedded content from third-party providers – may not yet be fully accessible.
The assessment was carried out through a self-assessment using automated testing tools (axe-core in accordance with WCAG 2.1 A/AA) in combination with manual tests of keyboard navigation, focus behaviour, colour contrasts and screen reader output.
Measures already implemented
- All images relevant to the content have alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- The entire website can be navigated using a keyboard, including navigation, menus, galleries and forms.
- A skip link (“Skip to content”) leads directly to the main content.
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a logical heading hierarchy.
- Colour contrasts for text and control elements meet the requirements of Level AA.
- All form fields are correctly labelled; required fields and error messages are displayed in text – not solely via colour.
- Image changes in sliders and carousels can be paused; when the ‘Reduce motion’ system setting is enabled, they do not start at all.
- Controls with icons have accessible labels (aria-label), and control areas are of sufficient size.
- The page language is declared (lang attribute), the website is responsive and can be zoomed up to 200 per cent.
Non-accessible content
The following content is not accessible, or is only partially accessible, for the following reasons:
- Third-party booking and enquiry modules: The integrated booking and enquiry wizard, as well as the newsletter sign-up form, are provided by external service providers. We have only limited influence over their usability, labelling and colour contrasts. This content falls under the category of disproportionate burden in accordance with Section 8 of the Bavarian Accessibility Act (BaSG) and Article 14 of Directive (EU) 2019/882.
- Map display (location & directions): The interactive map can be operated using a mouse or touchscreen. Full addresses and written directions are available as an accessible alternative.
- Security check (CAPTCHA) in forms: A security check is used to protect against spam. If you are unable to use this, you can send us your enquiry at any time by email or telephone.
- Embedded social media content: Content from Instagram is provided by the platform; image descriptions are taken from the original posts and are not always complete.
- PDF and Office documents: Some documents offered for download (e.g. price lists) are not currently fully accessible. We will provide the content in an accessible format on receipt of an enquiry.
- Foreign-language terms: Occasional expressions in other languages have not yet been marked as a language change and are read aloud by the screen reader in the page’s language.
We are constantly working to identify and remove existing barriers, and are in contact with our third-party providers regarding this matter.
